I just want to give a big thank you to the Greater New York Beer Festival, its organizers and exhibitioners.* I wish to give a special thank you to Stuart Racey, Executive Producer of the Festival. He made sure that the Doubletree Motel took good care of the exhibitors. With the exception of a few minor glitches, which are to be expected at an event this size, especially on its first time out, it went very smoothly for the customers who paid to come. Stuart along with 107.1 the Peak and the Journal News put together a great event and I look forward to next years edition. Thanks again Stuart.

I also wish to specifically thank Keith Eddings of the Journal News for mentioning tavernator.com in his write up of the event. I hope you check out our web-log on a regular basis from now on. I figure you are a hard core beer guy, maybe you can explain to us what Beertheostorian A is blathering on about.

Finally I wish to thank Scott Vaccaro Owner/Brewer of Captain Lawrence Brewing Company. Many outstanding craft brewers attended the event, Peekskill Brew Pub, Southampton Brewing, Defiant Brewing, Ommegang, Kelso, Magic Hat, Unibroue, and Ithaca, just to name a few. Some great bars and restaurants that serve many of these selections, were there as well, i.e.,  Lazy Boy Saloon, Gaudio’s, The Willett House , Half Moon, and The Sterling Inn. Yet Scott stood out. He was there with his product both days and he happily supplied me with free samples every hour on the hour, plus a few quarter hours in between. That is my kind of brewer. That being said we all need to start paying for more than just samples of Scott’s product so that Captain Lawrence can remain viable at slaking the region’s, (maybe even the world’s?), thirst for years to come.

*(The Editors) Not to be confused with Exhibitionists who were reportedly not on hand.
